FEATURED ALBUMS

Neptune’s Lounge, recorded at Mindrocket Studio and released in December 2019, is collection of classic jazz standards with a few of my original compositions included. It is a vast departure from the musical style that most people have grown accustomed to in my previous endeavors and  performances.

The seed was planted many years ago by jazz fans within my own family, and more recently while listening to old vinyl recordings by jazz artists and vocalists such as Dinah Washington, Fats Waller, Billie Holiday, and Etta James. This led to attempting to learn about the structure and composition of some of those great songs by playing them first on the ukulele.

To fully realize the recording potential of these songs, expert help was needed. Luckily, the Youngstown, Ohio jazz scene had a wealth of talent to contribute. With the help of extremely talented musicians who collaborated on this recording project, a vision was realized.

Mountain Soul, recorded at Mindrocket Studio and released in March 2019, is a recording that by title best describes my "genre" and live performance during this period. It's a concept album that's a tribute to the great state of West Virginia and it's songwriters. It's a mix of original and cover songs mostly written by West Virginia songwriters, the few exceptions being songs exhibiting the traditions and spirit of West Virginians. Some of these songs are well-known while others and their authors are undiscovered gems. Instrumentation includes fiddle, guitar, upright bass, banjo, viola, cello, and ukulele. It's a musical example of the breathtaking beauty of the state and the stories of the hardworking people who live there.

Downtown, released in March 2018, is a collection of original songs mostly written in 2017 that span various genres, including old-time, jazz, country, and rock-n-roll. There are instrumental contributions by various musicians from the Morgantown, WV area, including pedal steel, banjo, mandolin, guitar, and bass. My own instrumental contributions include violin, viola, ukulele, guitar, and cello. On this first solo release there runs the gamut of foot-stompin' instrumentals to heart-wrenching ballads.

Dimestore Cowboy, released in September of 2021, is a collection of primarily original songs that span over two decades of writing and refining. Many of these are fan-favorites and are frequently performed during my live shows, but had never been recorded previously with such instrumental depth and fully-realized.

There’s a little bit of everything on this album, as it combines classic country, blues, early jazz, modern folk, and rockabilly influences.

Mihi Verum, released in September of 2024, is a collection of primarily original songs that span over two decades of writing and refining, along with some more recent material. Some of these are time-tested fan-favorites that are frequently performed during my live shows, but had never been captured in a way to make them truly come to life.
